Yesterday Stuarts friend Jenny arrived for the week to get involved with some ringing. This morning was spent out with the spring trap to try and catch Wheatears. A family with three juveniles was found on the South End and one was ringed.

It was a quiet day with a Greenfinch in the Withies, Tree Pipit at Nant and a Sanderling on Solfach being the highlights. The number of Willow Warblers moving South remains slow with only ten recorded today.
Birds today: 14 Gannets, one Sanderling, three Whimbrels, six Curlews, four Redshanks, two Common Sandpipers, 18 Turnstones, two Black-headed Gulls, eight Collared Doves, one Tree Pipit, ten Willow Warblers, one Greenfinch
