Today started windy with rain showers but soon cleared up and turned into a clear day.  There were many Manx Shearwaters streaming past on a morning seawatch along with Gannets, Kittiwakes and a juvenile Mediterranean Gull. In the afternoon a Greenshank flew past the Obs.

The number of Grey Seals in Henllwyn is steadily rising as we get closer to pupping season, 153 were counted hauled out during the afternoon low tide. There are also a few Common Seals around with the remaining light brown individual joined by a darker one.

In the afternoon Stuart and Louis tried spring trapping on Solfach but only succeeded in ringing and darvic ringing a single juvenile Rock Pipit.

Birds today: 41 Fulmars, 72 Gannets, one Grey Heron, 24 Common Scoters, seven Ringed Plovers, one Dunlin, six Whimbrels, 19 Curlews, four Redshanks, one Greenshank, one Common Sandpiper, 27 Turnstones, one Mediterranean Gull, five Black-headed Gulls, 11 Collared Doves, one Whitethroat, four Willow Warblers
