Another great day of migration, with warm and sunny weather for the most part of the day and some much needed rain in the evening.
Eight Fulmars and 51 Gannets were seen offshore, with 74 Shags between Garreg yr Honey and Pen Cristin. Two herons were seen on Solfach, along with 17 Mallards and two Teal (with another on Pwll G).
Bird of the day was a fine adult male Marsh Harrier that circled Pen Cristin before heading north along the East Side. Two Sparrowhawks were seen along with three Kestrels and the usual Peregrine.
Waders were on the move again too, Eight Ringed Plover accompanied three Sanderling in Solfach, with seven Dunlin and nine Purple Sandpipers in the roost. Eight Redshank and a Grey Plover were in Solfach and the latter then moved to Henllwyn and joined a Common Sandpiper there. There were 31 Curlews on Carreg Yr Honey and 25 Turnstones were on the rocks by Solfach
