Heavy showers overnight and drizzle in the morning produced a small fall, with a good selection of species. The highlight of the day was a Barred Warbler, trapped and ringed in Cristin garden. 11 Pied Flycatchers were a welcome surprise, and other migrant highlights were five Tree Pipits, a Whinchat, a Grasshopper Warbler, and 17 Willow Warblers. A seawatch between net rounds produced six Sandwich Terns, three Common Terns and an Arctic Skua. The non-avian highlight of the day was seven Vestals seen across the Island - the highest recorded day count!
