Strong south-westerlies and heavy rain dominated much of the day; the sea was surprisingly quiet with six Manx Shearwaters and four Arctic Terns the only birds of note. Much of the day was spent inside working on 'desk' jobs like entering ringing data and working on this year's reports.

Fortunately, the rain and wind eased in the afternoon. A visit to Nant and a look around the Chapel flushed both a Barn Owl and a Long-eared Owl which were roosting only metres apart! The Barn Owl flew over Nant and landed whereas the Long-eared Owl only flew a short distance and luckily was found roosting in the open! The Long-eared Owl then spent the until dusk roosting and allowed all the guests great views!
