The winds swinged round to the north-east and were accompanied by heavy showers throughout the day, keeping most of the birds on the Island out of sight. A short seawatch in the morning before rain ended proceedings produced an Arctic Skua, two Manx Shearwaters, three Common Scoters, 87 Gannets, 39 Kittiwakes, 35 Razorbills, four Shags, and a Cormorant. The highlights of the otherwise day were a Chaffinch at Nant, four Goldcrests, a Song Thrush, a Kestrel, three Ringed Plovers and a Dunlin.
