Heavy overnight rainfall with south-easterlies that dropped off during the day didn't produce any notable fall, however a Red-breasted Flycatcher was found in Cristin garden in the morning - the third individual of the year! Later in the day, it was caught in the Heligoland trap and ringed.

Aside from the flycatcher, it was a relatively quiet day for birds, with a Sparrowhawk, a Water Rail, a Snipe, 10 Curlews, two Skylarks, a Fieldfare, a Song Thrush, 52 Redwings, four Blackcaps, five Chiffchaffs, 16 Goldcrests, three Starlings, 10 Chaffinches, five Goldfinches, three Linnets, and two Lesser Redpolls the highlights.
