The south-westerly winds were strong this morning but dropped later in the afternoon, with bouts of fog interweaved throughout the day. Migrants were still passing through the Island; the highlights of the day being a Firecrest, 41 Goldcrests, seven Willow Warblers, 39 Chiffchaffs, two Blackcaps, and a Sparrowhawk.

Other species of note seen today were three Chaffinches, five Starlings, eight Blackbirds, 29 Meadow Pipits, and a Grey Heron.

The first Hummingbird Hawk-moth of the year was seen nectaring on some Rosemary at Cristin!
