The hallowed easterlies continued to blow today which resulted in a small arrival to the Island, including four Cuckoos, three Whinchats, two Garden Warblers, five Blackcaps, five Willow Warblers, 33 Spotted Flycatchers, a Hooded Crow, and a flock of 15 Dunlins that dropped in to Solfach briefly, were the highlights.

Other migrants of interest today were a Buzzard, two Curlews, two Black-headed Gulls, two Feral Pigeons, three Rooks, a Siskin, and five Lesser Redpolls.
The Manx Shearwater census kicked off today, counting all burrows and apparently-occupied ones at the north end of the East Side. It'll be interesting to see whether the increase in burrows across the rest of the Island is reflected in this patch! Further productivity monitoring work was carried out today as well, with most checked burrows containing an adult on an egg.
