The northerlies dropped in force today and produced a small arrival to the Island, the highlights of which was a smart Wood Warbler and a male Redstart both trapped and ringed at Cristin!

There was a nice mix of other migrants seen today as well, with a Red Kite over the Mountain, a Lapwing over the Narrows, a Sanderling, two Dunlins, four Whimbrels, six Turnstones, two Black-headed Gulls, two Swifts, a Redstart caught at Cristin, a Garden Warbler, and 18 Spotted Flycatchers across the Island. Other migrants sighted today included 22 Swallows, 11 House Martins, a Willow Warbler, a Feral Pigeon, and two Collared Doves.
In terms of Island breeders, the Ringed Plover pair have successfully fledged one youngster, which was seen briefly on Henllwyn this morning!
