With wet and windy weather predicted for the morning, staff went out last night on a rather successful night Dazzling. In total, a Curlew, a Whimbrel, 2 Redshanks, 2 Purple Sandpipers, a Turnstone, a Common Sandpiper, 2 Mallards, 2 Moorhens, 2 Wheatears, 3 Rock Pipits and a Grey Heron were trapped. The Grey Heron was only the ninth to ever been ringed here with the two Redshanks both being colour ringed, the first time this has occurred on the Island in the hope for more resightings.

Birds were generally thin on the ground during the day with the Gyr Falcon still around and a total of six Willow Warblers including one trapped at Cristin.
