A very calm and sunny day saw a slight arrival of birds in the morning. A Garden Warbler was at Nant, four Spotted Flycatchers and 15 Willow Warblers were counted in the gardens, and nine Northern Wheatears were around the South End and Narrows. Two juvenile Mediterranean Gulls flew by at sea, while waders included a Dunlin and a Ringed Plover. More hirundines were recorded than in previous days, with 80 Barn Swallows, five House Martins and four Sand Martins seen. A Common Buzzard and a Common Kestrel were the only other migrants of note.
The European Storm Petrel nest found earlier in the year on the east side was revisited and its tiny, fluffy occupant ringed.
