With the wind shifting back round to the south, birding prospects were not massively promising. A short seawatch produced an Arctic Skua, six Common Scoters, 35 Sandwich Terns and a couple of ‘Comic Terns’, while a Goldcrest, a Grey Wagtail, the same White Wagtail, a Sand Martin, eight Willow Warblers and three Chiffchaffs were the best of the landbirds. A shower in the afternoon seemed to bring a handful of birds with it, including a Pied Flycatcher and two Spotted Flycatchers at the plantation.
