Although strong north-westerly winds promised a good day of seawatching, they sadly failed to deliver much at all. The highlights of a morning sat in the hide were three Balearic Shearwaters, a single Great Skua, 23 Dunlins and a steady southbound procession of 55 Sandwich Terns and 35 Common Terns. The wind made finding birds on the land difficult and a Golden Plover and a couple of Goldcrests were the only sightings worth mentioning.
