This has been a particularly good autumn for Eiders of Bardsey and another three passed by in the morning. An arrival of thrushes involved 60 Blackbirds, 13 Song Thrushes, eight Redwings and four Fieldfares, while finches included 80 Chaffinches, two Bramblings, 15 Greenfinches and three Siskins. Four Woodcocks were lurking in the mountainside bracken and five Snipe were in the lowlands. Two Lapwings were seen, a Mediterranean Gull was off the coast, the withies contained a couple of Reed Buntings and at least 1000 Starlings were counted.
