Sunday 5 December 2010

Heavy showers moved through throughout the day on what was, all in all fairly uneventful bird wise. The main highlights of the day included: a Snow Bunting on the Narrows, a Grey Plover in Solfach and a couple Stock Doves. The only other birds that braved the heavy showers were the usual waders, now twenty two Lapwings, a Golden Plover, three Ringed Plovers and three Dunlins. The Firecrest was again in Plas Withie whilst a Woodcock was flushed up from the heath.

A few feeding flocks of Black headed Gulls formed along the coast.
