Saturday 4 December 2010

A miserable rainy day saw very few birds about. A Grey Plover remained in Solfach with four Ringed Plovers, three Dunlins and a couple Golden Plovers; twenty two Lapwings inland. A slight passage of gulls was seen off the south tip; 170 Black headed Gulls, nine Common Gulls, 190 Kittiwakes and two Mediterranean Gulls flew by with the calm winds from feeding flock to feeding flock. A Woodcock was flushed in the Plantation with a Jack Snipe, twelve Snipe and a Water Rail in the wetlands. The Firecrest was again in Plas Withie.

One Grey Plover remained today.
