A slight dusting of snow fell during the night and the freezing temperatures continued. For the brave who ventured out, little rewardment was to be had. The two Grey Plovers sheltered with a Dunlin and three Ring Plovers in Solfach whilst 28 Black headed Gulls, two Common Gulls and 140 Herring Gulls fed just off-shore. Thrushes managed to find the softer areas of ground and fed in the Donogoch fields: eight Blackbirds, a Fieldfare, 23 Song Thrushes and eight Redwings seen.

Redwing(top) and Song Thrushes(lower) fed in the fields near the farm.
Despite the rest of the mainland being covered in centimetres of snow, we somehow managed to escape with only a dusting on the mountain. It was still enough to make a rustic, island-style snowman.
