A good scattering of birds was seen today. The Lapland Bunting was flushed up from the wetlands in the morning and was subsequently seen around the hay fields for the rest of the day. Three Skylarks flew overhead mid-morning, a Brambling had joined the Chaffinch flock at Ty Pellaf and 160 Starlings were gathered around the railings at the top of the lighthouse. A Short eared Owl was flushed from the mountainside near Cristin, a Ring Plover was on Solfach and a Mistle Thrush and Fieldfare had arrived at Ty Nesaf.
