Another rather dull day saw the southerly wind persisting, with times of hazy sunshine interspersed with light showers. The morning rounds saw very little about, however two Ringed Plovers, a Whimbrel, a Snipe and a Merlin were scattered around. A Grey Wagtail flew over Ty Pellaf in the morning, and a Chiffchaff was later see in Cristin garden; a singing male Goldcrest and nine Siskins were also there. A quick tour of the south end in the afternoon produced thirty two Meadow Pipits near the tip, ten Purple Sandpipers at sea and best of all, the first Sand Martin of the year.

Sand Martin. Five days later than the earliest ever record in 2002.
