Despite the winds remaining low during the night, they picked up quickly during the morning and some rain even blew in. Only four Lapland Buntings were seen in the hay fields today. A couple Dunlins were feeding in Solfach with three Ring Plovers, whilst a Grey Heron stalked fish in Henllwyn. 108 Meadow Pipits were scattered around the island, with a single Skylark also amongst them; three Wheatears were seen on the south end. A Hooded Crow was seen amongst eleven Carrion Crows and two Ravens on the mountain. Only nine Chiffchaffs were feeding on insects in the island’s gardens; three Goldcrests were also with them. A bit of finch movement took place in the morning with totals amounting to: a Chaffinch, three Greenfinches, a Goldfinch, a Siskin and twenty four Linnets.
