An altogether uneventful day saw very few birds of interest around, and migrant numbers were also low. A Grey Heron, four Ring Plovers, two Common Sandpipers and a couple Dunlins were seen around the narrows, whilst a good passage of hirundines throughout the day totalled to: eight Sand Martins, 148 Swallows and two House Martins. A Black Redstart singing at the abbey and a Song Thrush at Cristin were the highlights from inland; warbler counts came to: a Grasshopper Warbler, twelve Sedge Warblers, six Whitethroats, one Blackcap, eight Chiffchaffs and eleven Willow Warblers
