Continuing the rather quiet pattern recently, today saw very little on the bird front. The most notable sightings of the day were: a Whinchat by Plas Withie, a Golden Plover on the south end and a Yellow Wagtail also over the south end. Two Ring Plovers, thirty two Whimbrels and two Curlews were around the narrows in the morning, whilst passerines inland amounted to: three Skylarks, twenty one Meadow Pipits, twelve Wheatears, fifteen Sedge Warblers, seven Whitethroats, three Chiffchaffs, two Willow Warblers, one Spotted Flycatcher and a small passage of eighteen Goldfinches, twenty two Linnets and three Redpolls.
