A reasonable drop in the wind overnight saw more in the way of migrants around during the day. Two Lapland Buntings were seen on the maritime heath in the afternoon, a Mediterranean Gull was in Solfach, a Water Rail was seen in the Ty Pellaf Wetlands, and the first Jackdaw flock of the autumn were seen, with 250 flying over the north end of the island. 53 Goldcrests were scattered throughout the coastal gorse and gardens, whilst a Blackcap and four Chiffchaffs were were seen elsewhere; totals of passerine-migrants for the day amounted to: 23 Skylarks, 58 Meadow Pipits, a Grey Wagtail, six Redwings, eight Song Thrushes, three Great Tits, 105 Chaffinches, four Bramblings, 11 Greenfinches, eight Siskins, 13 Goldfinches and a Lesser Redpoll.
