Despite a gloriously calm and clear day, there were very few new arrivals on the island. A male Black Redstart and Bullfinch at Cristin were the most noteworthy migrants seen, although a Fieldfare flew past at sea and 34 Chaffinches, four Greenfinches, 36 Goldfinches and five Lesser Redpolls flew overhead. The two Brent Geese were still on the Narrows with a single Lapwing, three Snipe and two Woodcocks were seen in the Wetlands and at Cristin and a lone Jackdaw visited the Plantation. The only birds of any consequence out to sea were three Common Scoters and a Mediterranean Gull.

Chiffchaff and Starling. 3600 of the latter passed over the island during the morning
