A much brighter day with warm temperatures made a welcome change to the very wet weather of late. There were also more birds around, with a good list of notable sightings recorded mainly in the morning. A Buzzard, a Kestrel, two Sand Martins and 12 Swifts flew overhead, a Common Tern and three Sandwich Terns passed by at sea and two Common Sandpipers and a Whimbrel were seen at the South tip.

 Common Tern
 A juvenile Wheatear moulting
A few Gannets were fishing off the island's coast during the day
Meadow Pipits are all over the island at the moment, with many young birds
