With very strong winds on both days, although particularly on the 27th, it was another very quiet couple of days. There was very little seen on the 26th, with singles of
Whimbrel and
Ringed Plover joined by eight
Purple Sandpipers around the Narrows at high tide. High seas on the 27th saw attention turning to sea-passage, although the first 18
Gannets of the year, six
Fulmars and two
Common Gulls were the only rewards. Two
Snipe were flushed from the wetlands.
 Purple Sandpipers
 Gannet
A small feeding flock of Kittiwakes was present off the west side
Up to seven Shelducks are present around the Narrrows at the moment
Herring Gulls- seven Lesser Black-backed Gulls were also seen among the usual gull flock
