24th to 25th January

On the last forecast day of calm and clear weather, there was not a great deal to report on the 25th. Thrushes were represented by a single Fieldfare, 29 Song Thrushes and 45 Redwings, whilst eight Snipe, a Red-throated Diver and a Buzzard were seen around the Narrows. There was literally nothing of note seen on the 26th, in howling Southerly gales and pouring rain.
