A day of settled conditions made for a very pleasant day, and there was a slight increase in the number of migrants around too. Three Swifts, two Sand Martins, 87 Swallows and 37 House Martins represented the day's hirundine counts, many of which were logged heading northward over the island during the day. A single Tree Pipit was recorded, along with 13 Spotted Flycatchers and nine Goldfinches inland. There was a good count of 3100 Manx Shearwaters off the island's coast, whilst a single Sanderling, four Dunlins and a Curlew were the only waders of the day.
