Sun, sun, and more sun. The terrific weather continues with blue skies, a cool breeze, and a cracking sunset. A Black Redstart found moving between Plas and Cristin is hopefully the first of many this year.

A small increase of seven Chiffchaffs were mostly at Cristin including two trapped and ringed, but Goldcrests decreased to 19 today. Migrant Linnets poured through reaching 147 for the day, easily the highest count this year, and similarly 30 Pied Wagtails with four Grey Wagtails.
One Manx Shearwater and six Common Scoters were noted off the West Coast whilst inland two Buzzards, one Water Rail, three Skylarks, 186 Meadow Pipits,  five Redwings, two Jackdaws, one Rook, 13 Starlings, one Greenfinch, nine Siskins, one Lesser Redpoll, and one Reed Bunting were highlights.
