A new brood
of six Shelduck ducklings appeared
in Solfach, the third brood this year, though none have survived long so far.
The perils of nesting on an island with 800 Gulls and 300 Seals! Solfach also held one Ringed Plover and 16 Turnstones,
whilst 391 Kittiwakes were loafing
at sea and four Starlings were on
the West Coast. The first Speckled Wood of the year was watched sunbathing in the New Plantation.
