A summer
plumaged Golden Plover amongst the Oystercatcher flock in Henllwyn this afternoon was
a smart new arrival. Also on The Narrows were two Ringed Plovers, one Whimbrel, one Curlew, one Turnstones,
and two Black-headed Gulls. The first
Buzzard for almost two weeks
marauded around the island, with counts of one Whitethroat, one Blackcap,
one Sedge Warbler, and three Chiffchaffs
presumably breeding birds. A single Lesser
Redpoll still doing the rounds could be a summering individual or a roving
failed breeder.
