Though a calm day originally the wind soon picked up and by the afternoon it was quite gusty. A total of 64 Gannets were logged including a flock of 35 which plunged close-in off Pen Cristin giving great views. The Narrows had eight Curlews, three Redshanks, and 13 Turnstones whilst two Black-headed Gulls passed at sea (no doubt the vanguard of the thousands due to pass the island in the next few weeks).
