The Melodious Warbler seems to be still
enjoying its fortnight sojourn whilst new migrants filtering through the undergrowth
amount to nine White Wagtails, one Redstart, one Whitethroat, one Blackcap,
eight Chiffchaffs, 17 Willow Warblers, 22 Goldcrests,
and four Spotted Flycatchers. Flying over were four Sand Martins and 120 Swallows
with two Teals and two Common Scoters, though not all together of course.
Three Ringed Plovers, one Purple Sandpiper, five Dunlins, one Bar-tailed Godwit,
four Whimbrels, one Common Sandpiper, and 90 Turnstones
fed together in a veritable wader frenzy on the Narrows.
