Stonechats were noticeably more vocal today and six were recorded on the island, and there are plenty of Willow Warblers in the gorse and in the trees with a total of 36 today, along with 15 Chiffchaffs at Cristin. Finches include: 11 Siskins, 15 Goldfinches and 11 Linnets, reasonable counts, especially of Siskins. Linnet numbers have been higher with flocks of 20+ in recent days. The Canada Goose pair are still here, and an additional two were with them today, the pair have taken to congregating with the Herring Gulls and Lesser Black-backed Gulls at the North End. Bird of the day was another Kingfisher! Though, admittedly it could be the same individual as the previous record, but twice before April is very good going by Bardsey standards with this species!
