15mph south westerly today. Following on from yesterday a female Wigeon was again seen on the west coast. A female Sparrowhawk was circling over the Observatory in the early morning, other birds of prey include: Buzzard, Peregrine and Kestrel. Wader passage was on the quiet side today with a Sanderling, Ringed Plover, two Dunlins, one Whimbrel, one Curlew, 20 Redshanks and one Greenshank.

there was a decent passage of passerines, including: 17 Skylarks, two Sand Martins, 546 Swallows, 138 House Martins, 448 Meadow Pipits, 17 Grey Wagtails, 135 Goldcrests, 40 Robins and 50 Chiffchaffs. The bird of the day was hands down a Red-rumped Swallow flying over Pen Cristin at 10:25. A beautiful vagrant and the first of the year too!
