Today, the rain was pretty torrential until late afternoon when it finally stopped and gave way to some welcome blue skies for the remainder of the day.

Mark headed down to the Narrows before this morning's deluge started, a few more waders had appeared with two Sanderling and a Turnstone being the first for several weeks. There were also two Dunlin, one Whimbrel, two Curlews, two Redshanks and two Common Sandpipers.

The majority of the day was just spent around the Obs getting the North side of the Obs prepared for the staff to move in and become a self-contained household once guests move into the South side. Poor weather has been in short supply, so it was good to have an opportunity to get caught up with a few bits and pieces today.

Other sightings today were one Cuckoo, one Song Thrush, four Willow Warblers, four Great Tits and 35 Linnets.
