More movement today in the 25mph south-westerlies. It was a chilly start, but the sun did come out at around 0900 and the wind died down too. During the morning census, Siskins, Grey Wagtails and Skylarks were all recorded. What's more, eight Willow Warblers were in the Plantation, which is more than there has been for over a week! Meadow Pipits were once again seen in good numbers, as we'd hope for this time of year, 109 over the course of the morning.

There were more Ringed Plovers around today, with nine being recorded between Henllwyn and Solfach. Other waders include one Whimbrel, 50 Curlews, five Redshanks, 38 Turnstones and 42 Oystercatchers. More Gulls were on Solfach, though, in total 29 Herring, fine Lesser and ten Great Black-backed Gulls were present, feeding amongst the kelp with 26 White Wagtails.

The highlight of the day was a Wryneck that Ben flushed from the mountainside near Ty Pellaf, this happens to be where all the Wryneck sightings have come from this year. So if you are visiting the island soon, it's always worth walking the low mountain track. It disappeared after ten or so minutes, but luckily some nice photos were taken before it did so!

Wryneck, not often people manage to get a photo of one of these on Bardsey!

Other sightings today include: one Lesser Redpoll, 83 Linnets, 14 Siskins, 16 Choughs, 15 Willow Warblers, two Chiffchaffs, five Blackcaps, one Song Thrush, one Grey Wagtail, 25 House Martins, 65 Swallows, three Skylarks and two Arctic Terns.
