The weather was really not any good for birding, but ben headed to the North hide first thing. Other than a Bonxie, there was not much else moving, but there was a small movement of Manx Shearwaters and Kittiwakes moving west into the sound.
The rest of the day was spent getting on with paperwork and report writing and then in the late afternoon, we headed down to Solfach to take down the portable Heligoland Trap before the wind picks up properly overnight. On the Narrows while sorting out the trap, there were 45 Curlews, five Redshanks and seven Turnstones.
one of three informative signs which have been put up to try and help to reduce disturbance of the Grey Seal pups which are starting to appear around the coastline.
