A diverse range of weather was experienced today, as warm sun and blue skies was swallowed up intermittently by dense sea fog. There seemed to be a turnover in migrants, with some overnight departure and some fresh arrival today. Two Grasshopper Warblers were heard reeling in the Wetlands and at Nant. Elsewhere, the male Redstart was at Ty Nessaf, a Brambling flew over Nant and four Sandwich Terns were seen off the West Coast (as well as five Harbour Porpoises). Other migrant totals were slightly lower today with 62 Blackcaps, 58 Willow Warblers, and 18 Chiffchaffs. Hirundines were still passing through as 15 Swallows, 17 Sand Martins, and 4 House Martins were logged.

The UV moth trap at Cristin produced a Water Carpet, the fourth record for the Island!
