Light north-westerly winds made for a relatively quiet day in terms of migrants but saw some passage, with a small Corvid movement noted. Seven Jackdaws, a Hooded Crow and three Rooks seen in the morning, as well as a Stock Dove off the West Coast, a Tree Pipit that buzzed over the Mountain, and 11 Common Scoters heading South. Hirundine numbers increased slightly with 35 Swallows, 12 House Martins and 13 Sand Martins. Sedge Warbler numbers also increased, totalling five across the island.
Other migrant totals for the day were 16 White Wagtails, 30 Wheatears, nine Willow Warblers, three Chiffchaffs, a Goldcrest, 13 Blackcaps, 25 Whimbrels, three Starlings, two Chaffinches, five Siskins and a Lesser Redpoll.

In the afternoon, we took the portable heligoland trap down to Solfach in an attempt to catch any feeding pipits or wagtails on the beach, which resulted in a Rock Pipit being trapped and colour-ringed. Afterwards, there was a break from the birds and an intense game of island football was hosted on the Narrows!
