The persistent wind and showers continued today, though in the afternoon it relented somewhat and allowed us to get out to stretch the legs a little. Down at Solfach, the Shelduck family was still thriving and surviving, with seven chicks present and getting up to a considerable size now! On the Narrows, the migrant waders of note were three Curlews and a Whimbrel. A walk up to Nant in the evening produced little of note, but Linnet numbers continue to increase, as adults and juveniles from elsewhere start to pass through the Island. A total of 29 was recorded today.
