Relief from the recent grim weather was welcomed as it made for some more eventful birding today. The migrant highlights included a Sparrowhawk over the Wetlands, a Whimbrel, five Curlews, five Redshanks, five Common Sandpipers, five Black-headed Gulls, a Whitethroat, a Chiffchaff, and two Starlings heading south.

Butterflies were on the wing again, the highlight being a Comma that was flying around in the garden of Cristin again, alongside seven Meadow Browns, two Peacocks, three Red Admirals, and two Green-veined Whites.
