Today was almost a total washout from start to finish, which made for very uneventful birding. The only highlights of note were three Curlews, a Whimbrel, and a Grey Heron that flew high north from Nant towards the mainland.
The majority of the day was spent hunkering away from the rain, doing more data inputting and mapping out the locations of all the breeding bird species on the island, as part of the breeding bird project. Some species such as Guillemots have shown an increase in their populations, with 2321 adults on ledge (AOL) recorded this year - a record high count for the Island!
