Sunday 9 June 2024

Strong south-westerly winds continued the autumnal feel to the summer. Bird passage was thin on the ground with a Spotted Flycatcher at Nant, a Mistle Thrush at the South End, three Sandwich Terns passed the North End, two Dunlins and three Turnstones on Solfach, two Whimbrels on the Narrows and seven Collared Doves in the Withies.

The afternoon was spent ringing Herring Gulls at the North End as well as the odd Razorbill chick and another brood of Shags before rain stopped play early evening.
