An overnight Manx Shearwater ringing session with the three visiting ringers from Nottinghamshire was productive, resulting in a total of 120 birds handled—50 of them were new individuals, while the remaining 70 were recaptures.

Aside from a Kestrel, which was the only notable new migrant, it was a quiet day overall. Elsewhere things remained much the same, with a Whimbrel and two Curlews seen at Treath Fynnon, along with two Common Sandpipers and the first Turnstone recorded in five days.

Gull numbers remain high, with around 1,000 Herring Gulls along the west coast, 408 at the northern end of the island, and 235 Lesser Black-backed Gulls also present. Three Puffins were observed passing the north end.

Willow Warblers continue to arrive in small numbers, with four individuals noted today.
