The first two
Sand Martins of the year passed through on a calmer day on the 14th. Other noteworthy sightings of the day included a
Red-throated Diver, a
Merlin, three
Snipe, two
Wheatears, five
Redwings, three
Chiffchaffs and the
Firecrest. During the night, the second

Chiffchaff was a new arrival on Pencristin, and 13
Purple Sandpipers were seen on the rocks near Solfach.
The male and female Wheatears remained on the Narrows on both days
