It was a very quiet end to February, with hardly anything to report on the 28th. A single
Common Scoter and two
Gannets flew past the Narrows in the morning, two
Siskins were seen at Ty Pellaf and a
Woodcock was present in the Plantation in the late afternoon. It was also a very quiet beginning to March, although the
Firecrest was seen, whilst seven
Linnets were new arrivals, and four
Snipe were flushed from the wetlands.

The Oystercatcher flock around the Narrows has now split up, as pairs return to their breeding sites

The first moth trap of the year was set outside Ty Pellaf on the 28th, and yielded an Early Grey (above)
