A day of very little wind, clear blue skies and mild temperatures made it feel very much like spring. A few more birds arrived in the calm weather, the highlights of the day including: a Jack Snipe, 12 Woodcocks, the Firecrest, two Teals, a Grey Heron (new for the year), a male Bullfinch (also new for the year) and a Saker Falcon (presumed to be an escape).
A few loose flocks of Meadow Pipits on the South end and north end seemed to be new arrivals, and at least five Stonechats in the lowlands were immigrants. Six Ravens flew overhead, as well as the breeding pair.

The Firecrest was very active around the Nant area, singing on and off for most of the morning
