It was another two days of glorious weather, although very few birds arrived in the calm conditions. On the 3rd, a
Jack Snipe was flushed on the north side of the mountain, three
Song Thrushes and a
Redwing were present in the island's gardens, along with the
Firecrest, the male
Bullfinch and the first two
Greenfinches of the year. A
Stock Dove at Nant (the first of the year), was perhaps the highlight of the 4th, although both the
Bullfinch and
Firecrest were still present at Nant, and two
Ringed Plovers were seen around the Narrows.
